IT WAS AN AWESOME HOLIDAY SEASON!
Giving is more joyous than receiving, not because it is a deprivation, but because in the act of giving lies the expression of my aliveness.” ~ Erich Fromm
It was an awesome holiday season!
It was very rewarding to spend some time volunteering at some community based programs in my area that help seniors, children and families in need.
I spent time at The Giving Tree, wrapping Christmas presents for underprivileged children, which is a yearly tradition for my family and me. And, on Christmas Eve my parents and I joined others to help Santa Claus deliver food and presents to seniors and families in need.
I also really enjoyed helping prepare and serve Christmas Eve dinner at The Caring Kitchen. And at The Caring Kitchen, I spent an afternoon with the children, singing Christmas carols with them during their holiday craft party. I helped volunteers serve pizza and juice, and visited with the kids while they made their crafts, got their faces painted, and did other fun activities, while waiting for Santa Claus to arrive!
