Lizzie Sider is Spreading the Anti-Bullying Message on Her Florida Tour
Jan 24, 2014 – 10:10am
Young fans of country music are always looking for a brand new sound, and Lizzie Sider is bringing them just that with an added bonus!
The young country star is not only known for adding a fresh voice to the country scene, but her message is one that rings true no matter what kind of music you listen to. Lizzie knows what it’s like to be bullied, so she knows firsthand how real it can be in this day and age. While she was a big supporter of National Anti-Bullying Month, Lizzie said “Bullying doesn’t just happen in October during Bullying Prevention Awareness Month, it happens all year.”
That’s why Lizzie is extending her tour to Florida schools. Through March of 2014, Lizzie’s Bully Prevention Assembly will head to over 100 schools in Florida. During the assembly, Lizzie will discuss with kids how important it is to stand up to bullying, even if it’s by informing a nearby adult. Students will also be treated to a performance of her original song “Butterfly.”
We think this is a perfect way to spread the word of bullying. Who better to speak to kids and teens than one of their peers? Make sure you check out our interview with Lizzie Sider [above]!
