LIZZIE SIDER JUST MADE US SO EXCITED FOR WINTER

We know how excited all you Popmaniacs are for the holidays already — especially now that Thanksgiving’s over — but after we talked to singer Lizzie Sider about her Thanksgiving traditions, we are SO pumped and ready for the rest of the holiday season!

The “Butterfly” singer shared her *best* holiday memories with us during our phone call recently, and TBH we’ve never been more ready to pull on our knee-high boots and coziest scarf!

We’ve all done that crafts project where we make a turkey out of construction paper by tracing our hands, right? Well, Lizzie did that in elementary school, and she was SO proud of it! “We were having Thanksgiving dinner with my grandparents and some neighbors, and I got up at the head of the table and I explained the turkey and I was just so happy and I showed it to everyone!” she spilled to us. How cute! We can totally imagine a young Lizzie showing off her art work!

Not only is she a great artist (and singer, of course!), she’s also a budding chef! She chatted about her Thanksgiving tradition with her mom and how she’s actually a pro Turkey cooker. “For Thanksgiving, my mom and I have always struggled with making a turkey that’s not too dry. So for the past few years we’ve just made chicken,” she said.

But that all changed last year! She told us, “Last year for the first time we made a turkey and, oh my gosh, it was a slam dunk! It was so juicy, and my mom and I cooked it together. It’s always been a tradition having my mom and I cook together in the kitchen.” There’s nothing more precious than spending quality time with your family — oh, and eating some amazing food that you cooked yourself!

As for her Christmas plans, she’s def spending time with her family again. “For Christmas, my Dad and I always go out to our driveway on Christmas Eve and play basketball. We kind of do one-on-one against each other,” she said. So Lizzie’s a pro chef and basketball player, basically — did someone say #goals?!

What did YOU do for Thanksgiving? Are you spending time with family like Lizzie does? Let us know in the comments!
