April 28, 2014—Country Music Association’s “Artist to Watch in 2013” Lizzie Sider met up with NHRA Champion John Force and his daughters and fellow racers, Courtney and Brittany Force, at this past weekend’s O’Reilly Auto Parts SpringNationals at Royal Purple Raceway, in which Sider performed the National Anthem for over 50,000 spectators on Sunday, April 27 during the race’s final eliminations.

Sider (15), who has been performing the National Anthem since she was nine years old, is currently on a Texas state-wide school assembly tour to promote bullying prevention. During the two-month tour, which started April 9, Lizzie will appear at over 70 schools. This tour follows on the heels of her previous California and Florida tours in which she has already shared her positive message with young students at over 180 schools. By the end of the 2013-2014 school year, Lizzie will have met with nearly 100,000 students. During her assemblies, Lizzie encourages kids to help prevent bullying as she recounts her own personal journey as a young student who was teased. She performs her original song “Butterfly,”which Sider co-wrote about her experience and how she overcame bullying.

John Force is one of the greatest success stories in American sports history, as the “winning-est” driver in the history of the NHRA. He won his 16th Championship in October 2013, and has been awarded more rounds, more races and more championships than anyone. He has won a tour event in 25 of the last 26 years, and has been a Top 10 finisher for 28 consecutive seasons. His success also runs in the family – his three young daughters – Ashley (30), Brittany (27) and Courtney (25) – have all followed in their father’s footsteps, creating a family legacy of top race car drivers. His eldest daughter Ashley, is a two-time Indy champion, who now raises her two sons with crew chief Daniel Hood, and serves as President of JF Entertainment; Courtney became the 2012 Auto Club Rookie of the Year and was featured on the cover of the 2013 edition of ESPN The Magazine’s “The Body Issue,” and Brittany, who took a break to pursue her teaching credential, entered her rookie season in 2013 and was named the 2013 Auto Club Rookie of the Year.
