TRIBUTE TO FLOSSY KEESLEY

The world recently lost a dear friend, Flossy Keesely. Flossy was a loving, remarkable and accomplished woman, and is an icon in my home town. I was first introduced to Mrs. Keesely as a wide-eyed 10 year old hoping to sing in her new variety show, Pathway To The Stars, which would take place at a beautiful new outdoor ampitheater in downtown Boca Raton. And I did, along with other finalists from the Rotary Club's Future Stars competition! That year, and for five years thereafter, I was happy and privileged to be asked again by Flossy to participate in Pathways, whether to open the show with God Bless America, close with America The Beautiful or sing one of my own songs!

Flossy Keesely lived a glorious 101 years and leaves behind a legacy of, among other things, her loving support and encouragement for youth to pursue their dreams. She was instrumental in shaping MY path, and I will be forever grateful to her!

She always taught me, "God has given me a gift and it is now my turn to use my gift for the betterment of the world."
